Robert Forster gets my vote. It's a brilliantly played role, and of course it's always good when a forgotten veteran suddenly makes this comeback with real exciting meaning, not just for show.
Out of the other four, including Robin Williams, I think he's not bad! (Judd Hirsch played a similar role in Normal People). Actually, why was his win so boring that this potentially interesting race quickly became pretty painful? It's a shame, because the plot isn't that bad.
Burt Reynolds was an icon of the 1970s, and he pulled it off brilliantly in Boogie Nights. It's definitely his most memorable performance (and movie), but it's definitely an Oscar-worthy performance. Anthony Hopkins, nominated for everything at the time, isn't bad in Amistad.
As for Greg Kinnear, he wasn't just a straight guy playing a gay guy, he played a gay guy who was bullied and bullied. Of course, this is a better cliche than "gay suicide bombers" or "crazy gay serial killers" and unfortunately sometimes closer to reality, but it's still a bit cliched and I didn't like the resonance. At this point, we can call it the "Karen Klein Syndrome". Don't get me wrong, I think this little old lady is very cute too and I'm glad she's become quite rich. I mean. I don't want to be very commercial but.... What's the point in donating all this money to this (I repeat, very nice) person and never calling out and often confirming that your country is killing innocent people step by step and using the death penalty, killing innocent people like this, not the innocent people in America? Mr. Tee mentions Robert Forster in the movie Medium Cool. For example, what really impressed me about this movie is how it seamlessly inserted fictional characters into real-life action, and had actors play roles in scenes that were real-time documentary footage.

Mr. Tee writes: I recommend someone no one has mentioned yet: Tobey Maguire in The Ice Storm. There are probably some people for whom this is paramount.
No, he supports it. I want to call him second. He performs a pretty good performance in Ice Storm. At that time, the movie was strangely disappeared from the radar after being advertised extensively. After the release, he was convinced that he would be nominated for the Director's Award, Adjustment Award, Unusual Scoring Award, and Actress Award (two intentions). I thought Cigany Weaver would win, but I remember Christina Rich for a surprise. Weaver was deprived of the Globe Award by Bay Cinger, missed the film actor union, and was nominated for the WGA, and was unable to dodge the Sweet and afterword at the Academy Awards! Boops!
The box office performance of this movie was not so good, but I think this is because of the simultaneous release with Bogie Knights. However, Toby Magwire must be nominated.

It's a very bad candidate list. One vote for Williams.
I choose 1997
1. Rupert Everett "My Best Friend Wedding" 2. Kevin Spacey "L. A. Confidential" 3. Robin Williams "Good Will Hunting" 4. Greg Kinnia "As Good as It Getz "5. Bart Reynolds" Knights in Archy Style
6th place: Robert Forter "Jackie Brown"

First of all, I agree with Sabin's opinion that the role of Jack Vinsenne, played by Kevin Spacey, was the coolest this year, and my choice is simple. (I still agree with the opinion that Crow and Pierce were clearly popular in Los Angeles, but Spacey was definitely a supporter): I would like to recommend a person that is not mentioned. Toby Maguire in Storms may be thought of him as a favorite.
But since then, I have completely different opinions from the majority.
For example, I couldn't understand the need to impress Bart Reynolds in Bogie Knights (I never thought I was fucked by a decent movie). I imagined it was just a movie. (I remember the story of this Oscar, Sabin). For example, he did not perform well in the movie, and he couldn't find any clips, so he seemed to be doing something). In fact, I am surprised that most people are watching more.
Rupertre Everett was featured in many media until the nominated, but most of him was due to the "I'm Real Gay You Know" press tour almost simultaneously with this movie. I always feel it. At that time, I did not deny that it was a more risky career movement, but thanks to that, he was very interesting, but there was no more support groups that exceeded his performance. I think I got it. Compared to Nathan Rain in Frankie and Johnny, it was very interesting, but not more attention.
Anyway, voters prefer gay heroes rather than "serious" movies. Greg Kinia is now considered an interesting and habitual actor, but at the time he was a brain actor in Talking Soup. But he didn't feel he was pursuing a sense of presence. He always appeared to me as an actor who plays gay. I also think that his segment (unlike Sabin) is the worst part of the Az Good As It Gets, which repeated hits and mistakes. I don't vote.
Robert Forter was like a character in the movie "Medium Cool" that he loved in college. Needless to say, I was happy to see him in a dignified place for many years. But I'm not a big fan of Jackie Brown. Jackie Brown has a spatulible and talkative impression (frankly, as many of Hermore Leonard were so-one of the few popular mystery writers in this era, but their appeal is me. I don't understand).
Robin Williams has been convinced that SAG has announced that the award will be awarded. If I really liked the nominated person, I might have been a little resentful, but it wasn't.
But if I vote, I would choose Anthony Hopkins. I wouldn't be very interested in Amistad, no one could deceive. A flat historical story, one of the most boring works of Spielberg. But Hopkins has been completely lif e-threatening his scene in a way that has never been seen in other nominations in this division. It is a vote without enthusiasm, but still one vote.

One vote for the sweet and layered performance of the forter. It is so impressive that it is unlikely to be the world of Tarantino, and this part has a pure class.

It is the era of Robin Williams. It is surprising that the comedian was nominated three times for the "Best Cale Award" before the award in the Smart Girl Will Hunting. He starred in a movie loved by everyone, has been made in Hollywood that has not succeeded in one year, grows beard, is delicate, impressive, liked by the same academy, and about his wife. He gave a great speech and received a large scene to overcome the victims of violence with his dull pain. And he did not confront who they wanted to vote for. Things that Robin Williams did not, for example, this is a highly virtuous "Oscar". He was not good in the movie, more accurately, he played perfectly, but no one believed he really played more than anyone else. He won because they wanted a rudimentary thing, which was a mythical probability.
Despite all the accusations of Bart-Reynolds, his career, as his career was formed, until his career was formed, is likely to be affected later. Do you like to see the catch now? Bad Movie Robin-Williams and Bad Movie Bart-Reynolds? Robin-Williams pulled a certain number of unusual instances and truly bad movies on the line that he did not know what to create by verification, but Bart-Reynolds has a role in the situation and the real 2 intentions. I gained the insight I had the opportunity to acquire. I believe he believes that he is actually very good at the "night in the booger method", and of course I prefer to win, not Williams. Including the video they chose, Reynolds remembers that after seeing personal pornography masterpieces, "this is a memorable movie" due to unrealistic seriousness and lack of sel f-consciousness. 。 It is undoubtedly unpleasant for him to work at the shooting site, and later he fired his agent, but the film could not be received literally without his existence. But like Robin Williams, Bart Reynolds' victory is literally trying to see what the reason is. I don't think this is the intention of my beloved role 2 in this movie. John Shi Riley and Philip Seymour Hoffman are more exciting for small roles.
Rupert Everett wasn't nominated. I remember being hesitant about the fact that he would fall in the Oscar Morning nominations count because he couldn't get a SAG nomination, but I was even more surprised by the low profile of Kevin Spacey's Jack Vincennes. I saw a little mention of Russell Crowe's Bade Waite, which I think is absolutely unusual. This is also not a borderline case. The main star of L. A. Confidential is Kevin Spacey. The main stars of L. A. Confidential are Guy Pearce and Russell Crowe, as this film, for example, proves. For a while, this is no longer a Kevin Spacey situation. Is this a situation of how the two sides of the law (each of which suggests Crowe and Pearce) will work together? Actually, I thought Spacey was a sure thing! And the Golden Globes' picks were Everett, Hopkins, Kinnear, Reynolds, Williams. And Jon Voight in The Rainmaker, directed by John Gresham! Actually, I don't remember anything Voight arranged in this film. And the Screen Actors Guild further confused the story, giving the award to Hopkins, Kinnear, Reynolds, Williams, and Billy Connolly in Mrs. Brown. And Mark Eddy, considering that the lovers turned out to be "Monty-filled", probably cast a few votes for Wild Carl. It wasn't a big surprise for me that James L. Brooks wasn't nominated for Best Director, but Peter's "Who? Kattaneo", essentially shocking. Addy was the soul and heart of this film. Now we have Kevin Spacey in a race that is not a novice, a possible nomination, industry co-form criteria. He probably rented the eighth or ninth space on the ballot. Unusual.
For me, this is a choice that one of the three films had no chance. It is no surprise then that Amistad was not nominated for the DGA, PGA or Golden Globe awards. It lacks the sense center that every historical blockbuster needs to win. What Anthony Hopkins has at the end of the film essentially justifies its importance... but we never saw it through practically the entire film! But what a touching moment he is. At times, he is a rather restless artist, and certain roles are closer to his strengths than any other, because he is more impossible to pull off.
But you can't choose the championship. After all Greg Kinnia cannot be selected. The movie "Any Excellent THIS" has a wonderful performance for them. Kinia and Dogberdel. But this is not the case. Many people were said to have lost the space of Kiniru, an unmanned, sad and sad bag of unmanned, uninhabited, uninhabited, in Julia Roberts in Julia Roberts of My Best Friend Wedding. ・ Simon played a few decades ago. However, he performed a pretty good performance in the movie, and after that he showed an unusually strong, unique and crazy career. Every time I see him and enjoy him, he is suffering from a slightly tingling main hero to make up for the helpless of Brooks's script "how good, what is actually good." Imagine Bill Murray and Holly Hunter), Kineal is someone who will play everyone's games.
