CK3 developers spent 18 months on 3 D-models such as Snee, which was introduced in Xbox Arcade 10 years ago, wrote a joke that would not bother anyone, and added a new bug to the game. The problem is here. The important thing is that they are not actually drawing a different vision in the game, but doing creepy things that are likely to fail to realize their vision. That's it.

  • They have completely accepted obstacles and do not claim that they are historical fantasy.
  • It's actually interesting.

Regarding the first point, CK3 does not seem to be paying attention to the knight's situation as a whole. Even if it begins, the creator's vision is similarly restricted by the promise of protecting vague historical aesthetics. Even if this game is not a completely mythical setting, if I refuse to show a fake, it becomes completely fantastic, or if so, the game is more optimal. Calculate when it comes.

I believe that people believe that CK3 is the Gene Retator of Mome, which is actually the right thing:

- Many of the fans just post the same jokes over and over again. Major YouTubers repeat the same jokes every day about how their deformed overlords break the game. Unlike games like Hi4, Ck3 lacks deep mechanics, which doesn't offset other YouTubers playing and experimenting with game mechanics for their own novelty.

- Actions. This is one of the main reasons I feel Ck3 is nothing more than a meme generator. It's a big indictment on events. As a result, the actions are nothing more than word boxes with the worst possible results, and you're interrupted by actions every day. A quarter of them are terrible jokes, like my overlord using his own absolutely terrifying animation for a snowball fight, or getting a cat named Mittens for the 10th time. These actions were in Ck2, some of them even crappier than the sequel, but let's be honest, Ck2 didn't force its own other mechanics on the second project for its own events.

All new DLC announced now is made with events as a priority, and 80% of Norse Lord's content consists of action only. The exceptionally huge extended personality, the Royal Palace, was made entirely for new events. Apart from culture (currently considered the most successful mechanic), nothing new has been introduced since Ck2. 50% of screen time is spent on action, including the console trailers. This is sad, as resources could have been used to improve the guiding qualities of a game like Senval, instead of focusing every day on writing events that are almost 10% meme-like.

I can only believe that Medieval III will be more serious. But I believe CA is already making the necessary move: they make a history game (Attila is pretty serious, except for the immortal leader of the Huns and his long hordes) and satisfy their own desire for spectacular components in fantasy games like Warhammer.

And it was never advertised as anything other than what it is. The most, or least open plan is that if you like buying DLC separately but don't like Vikings, you don't have to buy this.

Of course, it comes with a free patch, which I recall actually contained some good, generally applicable updates to the game mechanics.

(Honestly, when I see the behavior of a loud and tyrannical minority of anti-RC posters, I'm inclined to buy into the expansionism.)

It's a strange way of thinking.

Paradox asks and offers people to follow meme-making creators on their channels. Memes are free advertising. Free advertising attracts more consumers who give money to the company. So they make games with memes to make more money.

And then they make a shoddy product that tarnishes the company's reputation.

For example, the first DLC for CK3 was the Nordiki content pack, made to satisfy a notorious handful of players, but did nothing for the game as a whole.

Where on earth did that come from? "Reusing old gods to please 867 people is actually a white supremacist thesis."

Then the Royal Court, who only cares about making memes, added some small quality things to improve the game in the long run, without fixing most of the in-game problems at the same time.

The days of the old GSG are long gone, but these problems still exist. CK3 has more RPG elements than its predecessor. This was clear from day one.

Yes, a pound of flesh is a perfectly acceptable product.

I disagree with the first statement for two reasons.

First, the idea that the Middle Ages were grim and serious is inaccurate. In everyday life, people enjoyed simple and complex things. Yes, they joked about farts. There are many texts to back that up. Yes, some of the memes irritate me (for example, the weird obsession with incest and weird-looking characters), but in general, I'm tired of medieval simulators that try to make you think life was like a "Game of Thrones" scenario forever.

Play Royal Court and you'll see that farting is as common as incest and unmarried princesses having affairs.

2nd: Whenever a historical game that takes itself very seriously is very bad news for teachers and referees as a result of what it actually means, there will be many students who actually think that the game is a study of the situation. Keep in mind that this is a rather selfish justification, but in our time there is already quite a bit of content on the net that tries to rewrite the situation so that this is a challenge. It is better than the fools who basically think that Total War Rome is a history simulator, as a result of the CK being fun and the study-hungry college students finding that this is not the most obvious reflection of the situation.

CK, EU, VIC are incomplete, but the introduction of the map as a board to reinforce knowledge is a desirable starting tool.

CK2 had a large amount of meaningless non-routine events that tended to be fantasy, rather than non-routine things like actual knights. In CK3, there are a certain number of jokes, almost all of which are not considered inappropriate for a knight game. For example, even if there was a trivial reference to Lord Solomon in a judicial scene, it would be obvious to almost all knights. Apart from this, I do not doubt that you have vomit-themed jokes in appearance, but the most popular is for knight-farms, about situations where a person exchanges his soul for a roll when the devil comes to arrest it.

CK2 includes game standards for these events.

In fact, comments similar to what Cristofolmc wrote here remind me of people who don't really understand anything about everyday life in the Middle Ages, but convince themselves that they are pretty knowledgeable due to the fact that they actually understand these serious things like combat and law. CK3 is hardly a clear version of the Middle Ages, but it is much more untried and often catchy than CK2.

But in CK2, spirits are employed quite a bit more than the others.

In fact, what we are ignorant of is that this society is very serious about itself for a bunch of botanists playing a game. If you want situations, play situations, don't play games.

Many of us are hoping that a historical story will come along and turn the tide. |You can do it so that you can really come across as someone who actually just ignores these seemingly exactly how you can forget about people who quickly ignore you.

You need writers to create really important, serious content.

This reminds me of that case where the developers of Civ tried to settle on something serious, forced the game to think, and gave us Alpha Centauri. No doubt the game didn't sell because the rights were transferred to EA, but don't expect a continuation.

Beyond Earth was an attempt at a sequel, and this game didn't sell.

Firaxis learns the lessons, and since then the CIV series has been outstanding in its comical aesthetics.

They take three times the price and create an "extension" than DLC.

In the theme review, Tiax writes how to encounter an event that threatens his count with stress many times more than his serious things (killing people and families). I'm laughing at the erotic book.

He himself was Duke Bohemia, who learned German.

At least in this context, this makes sense. The two crops were very close and in constant contact, so it is quite logical that many of the courtiers already knew German and would have deceived the count and given him the erotic book from among the many possible German manuscripts. Of course, if we assume that medieval erotic books written in ethnic languages existed in the 11th century, then that is already a different matter from this incident. Even so, it is absurd how this shame would cause more devastating mental pain than death or the betrayal of a loved one.

But if the map of the North German provinces is inspired to study the tribal, pagan, steppe-nomadic, Turkic Polovtsian language from a chance encounter with a poor Polovtsian family in North Germany, and actually has access to books written by this 100% non-literary culture, and knows what is at stake in each case up to the court, then I am convinced that the events of CK3 do not have any common sense examination of who should participate in it and whether it means anything.

AC is so obscure that strategy game fans still refer to it as the holy grail of 4X-games, even Civ-maniacs, to this day, more than 20 years later. This is as good a status as a "complex" video game from 20 years ago could dream of.

SMAC (Firaxis Games, 1999) was critically acclaimed.

However, there was no continuation, as two key people behind SMAC and its expansion (Brian Reynolds and Timothy Train) left Firaxis to form a new company.

Sorry to sound like an ulcer, but when you have to make a choice, it becomes clear what falls and what doesn't in a game.

This is exactly what we need, in my opinion.

Almost everyone in these forums picked up games from Paradox, due to the fact that they are terribly close to reality, convince the reflection of historical periods and strategic depth. And in CK3 this and there is no other, and judging by what we saw and heard from the creators, for example, and is not planned. CK3 was done so that the player was potentially involved in the game, so as not to disperse 5'ing in anticipation of action with MTTH.

A frivolous attitude to events is its share in this design. CK3 was conceived as a carefree, due to the fact that Paradox does not like that their games have such a difficult curve of study, because most people who open the game receive it without significant time for this (and therefore, they are unlikely to get some more DLC). Boost-promotions, memes, etc. Apparently, are created for this to delay the players.
