Fast and Furious FEUD: The Rock slams ‘CLOWN’ Tyrese Gibson after Hobbs and Shaw success?
A few years ago, hostility flared between Mountain and other stars on the set of The Fate of the Furious. Dwayne Johnson referred to "chicken candy ass" in a social media post during filming, presumably referring to Vin Diesel. In late 2017, Tyrese Gibson criticized Mountain for effectively cancelling Fast & Furious 9 by filming a spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw. After the latter's release, Gibson attacked him again in a since-deleted Instagram post, in which he talked about Hobbs & Shaw's low box office takings compared to the rest of the franchise. The deleted post read, "One item must be respected. He tried. People called me a hater. They actually attacked me for speaking out. Destruction of a family obviously doesn't mean what it is often thought to mean."

Thank you everyone for making our little spinoff @hobbsandshaw a success in its opening weekend. #1 in #Movies with $333 million worldwide isn't bad. Now, Ute has similarly subtly fired back at Gibson in a post celebrating Hobbs & Thump Shaw becoming the number one movie in the world. Johnson wrote on his public media channel, "Thanks to everyone for a fun opening week at the box office for our little spinoff @hobbsandshaw. #Worldwide #1, $333M, not bad."
"And remember: the best way to outwit an eater [clown] is to lean back with a triumphant grin."
