The best comedy movies of all time

Comedy doesn't hold back. Of course, everyone likes to be sociable, and almost every movie guy has his favorite comedy. But it's not clear why comedy is still so overshadowed in the world of cinema. It's probably due to the fact that comedy, like almost no other genre, depends on the context. What was funny in 1924 may be funny in 2024. And this is not to mention that people's tastes in humor are different.

That's why it's more difficult to make a list of the best comedy movies of all time. We asked ourselves: what does it actually take for a comedy to be great? There are many criteria, but the most important one is: "Is this movie funny now? And will it be funny in 5, 10... 100 years?" With the help of comedians like Diane Morgan and Russell Howard, artists like John Boyeg and Jodie Whittaker, and a small group of filmmakers from Time Out, the 100 best and most famous funny movies of this situation were selected. No matter your sense of humor, you're sure to find it here: silly, sophisticated, light, dark, surreal, or rough.

The funniest films of all time

1. This Is Spinal Tap (1984)

Director Rob Reiner

Starring Christopher Gost, Rob Reiner

Basically, you would ask what has the ability to be more funny? And the answer is never. Nothing is more funny. Yes, our experts have taken their own vote and Rob Reiner's film about the hardest, most impure, most lyrical, greatest, hardest, and liest Briton in the genre - memoir film, or rock and memoir - is the winner. With a screenplay that is perhaps one of the most quotable in the cinema context ("No, these are turned up to 11") and one of the most meaty iron melodies compared to AC/DC - Bona Scott's Years is a film of elementary perfection: from the opening chord "I'm going to rock you tonight" to the final statement ("I don't know, what time is it?"), there is practically nothing, in fact, that could be done better.

He should also remember that he inadvertently invented all genres from "The Office" to "Blair Witch Project" and defined this whole genre (then the main acceleration Christopher ghost. Not to mention the career). Resident, Michael McKin, and Harry Siarer will be active under the name of Spinal Tap for 30 years. Spinal Tap: I pay tribute to those who are playing rock.

2. Airplane! (1980)

Similarly, I chose a wrong week to smell the adhesive. "

Director: Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, Jerry Zucker

Appearance: Leslie Nielsen, Robert Hayes, Julie Hagati

Joey, have you ever been to Turkish prison? The film, which spills out countlessly watching, was the second film by the Jim Abraham and the Zucker brothers (after the 1977 Kentucky Fried Movie Theater). This work, full of skillful video gags and on e-shot gags, is ridiculously ridiculed and very nonsense with the 1970s Daza Movie. Starring Robert Haze is a former pilot of a problem child who has forced the real pilot to fall due to enteritis caused by food and forced the plane to land. Leslie Nealsen colors the movie as a flight doctor. Just don't call it Shirley.

3. Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979)

He is not a savior. He is a pretty rebellious man. "

Director: Terry Jones

The protagonist Graham Chapman, John Cleve, Michael Peylin

Python's second masterpiece. The three sages visit their own leaf tubs, and the merchant Brian Cohen, who does not know doubt, is declared as a savior. He became a bit uncomfortable with the "The Greatest Situation Ever Told", and the "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" (always seeing the bright aspects of life) Along with the chorus, the movie ends on the Calvary cross.

What a stunning performance! "Life of Brian" ridiculed everything, from Latin at school to the epic of the Bible (most of the time, with his own interest in the components of that era), and religious hypocrisy, but is more important. Never ridicule the religion itself, of course.

4. Annie Hall (1977)

I don't want to be a member of the club who is a member of me. "

Director: Woody Allen

Starring Woody Allen, Dian Keaton

Annie Hall is the same Woody Allen that Woody Allen is unknown and neurotic and is satisfied by understanding such life. These are one of the greatest romantic comedies (one of the most interesting lines: "don't blame masturbation. Because this is sex with your loved ones). Annie (Diane Kiton, the first love in real life).

5. Groundhog Day (1993)

Let's predict the winter for you: It's cool, grayish, and will remain in your heart.

Director: Harold Rimiss

Starring: Bill Murray, Andy McDawell

Bill Murray played his cult as a grumpy and narcissistic meteorist from Pennsylvania. ) On the other hand, he does not try to learn to see himself from the side, and does not try to keep multiple love. There are quite a lot of movies and TV programs (for example, Palm Springs and Russian dolls), using a time loop theory to study similar subjects with more difficult hands. did. However, "Ground Hog Day" remains a golden stereotype and applies a clinical alignment.

6. The Jerk (1979)

I cut the sheet, I cut the seat, and I sat on the cutting blade. "

Director: Carl Liner

Appearance: Steve Martin, Bernadet Peters

In fact, when a certain movie is said to be "there is no possibility of being shot in modern times," this is usually the basic ant i-utopia complaints of the foolish fools. However, almost all of the films in the present age have declared that the white street children, like snow sitting in the stairs, declared that "I have appeared with an unfortunate black child." It is not easy to assume that it is in. For example, one of the most meaningless comedies that sparkles in this situation comes to mind. Of course, the significance of Steve Martin's existence as a stan d-up is the most highly meaningful phrase in this sentence, and is taken over by Afro American Miter and finds a "special purpose". The movie has become a true star by playing a 2 0-yea r-old orphan with excellent spinning technology.

7. Withnail & I (1987)

I feel like I was swung by pigs!

Director Bruce Robinson

Cast: Richard E. Grant, Paul McGhan, Richard Griffith

The most interesting part of withnail and amplifier; amplifier; Eye is a scene in which Hollow and Marwood stumbled at the end of the spectacular gag with speed and drinks in the livelihood of the camenas compared to the inside of the cancer. It is. These are delusions of imagination, stunned absurdity ("fingers are strange"), failed to enter the kitchen, and terrible drug seller Danny (Ralph Brown). It is. However, the catastrophe is imminent, and the recklessness of Witneal to walk through the flooded shower in a crunchy park is the most painful finish scene in all Symptograph.

8. Team America: World Police (2004)

  • movie
  • animation

Five terrorists head southeast on Baccarakadaka Dori!

Director: Tray Parker, Matt Stone

Starring: Tray Parker, Mat Stone

South Park's creators, Tray Parker and Matt Stone, are not bothered when they decide to delete a puppet films depicting a war with terrorism like Thunderbird. did. One year of 20 hours of work, which was described as "the worst time in life", was justifying all the intensive work of duet. This movie also has the double splendor of mainstream extremists and liberal Hollywoods, such as Dulcadul Castan and North Korean terrorist corps, and in particular in unfortunate sex scenes. It is a genius to use the doll consciously. Matt Damon is also interesting.

9. Duck Soup (1933)

You can dance with you until the cow comes back. But I want to dance with a cow while you don't come back.

Director: Leo Makkari

Appearance: Glcuchu Marx, Harpo Marx, Chico Marx

Even if the movie is still 100 years old, what if it was seen with a fantastic and destructive relevance as it was in its release, what should I say? The best movie of the Marx brothers, Dachup Soup, is transferred from the New York Musical Hall to the Immigration's Mittel, even a Fasten Mittel Europe, and is proud of Friedonia and Cryptopashists Localized. Sylvania will be released. This movie is much easier than Chaplin's "great dictators", not only fascism but also patriotism and politicians.

10. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

Your mother is a hamster, and the founder is Gloin Bujina!

Director: Terry Gillian, Terry Jones

Terry Gillian, Terry Jones, John Cleys, Graham Chapman, Eric Idol, Michael Peylin

Everyone loves the slapstick drama of Monty Python's Arthur King's legend, but we always forget the lama. According to credit, the Holy Grail was created by Brixton's cashier lama and thousands of lama friends around the world (including Terry Gillian and Terry Jones). By the way, the cash register and their friends created a masterpiece. Credit sequence reminiscent of Beluiman, luxurious and cruel violence, a luxurious and cruel violence, has become a launch table for Python to gain worldwide voice. The score of Neil Ines and the animation of Gillian became a British absurd humor benchmark, and the late Graham Chapman's performance, who played King Arthur, was so wonderful.

11. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006)

When chasing a dream, especially when using a plastic box, you may not be able to see what is in front of you. "

Director: Rally Charles

Appearance: Sasha Baron Cohen, Ken Davitian

If you watch Borat, you will not be able to hide the winning of Donald Trump and the general social situation in the United States today. Excellent comedian Sasha Baron Cohen is dressed as Kazakhstan's journalist, Borat Sagdiev, and crosses the United States with aggressive behavior. As far as we know, there is no scene in Jared Lett's resume naked and fighting at a hotel.

12. The Big Lebowski (1998)

It's just an impression, hey. "

Director: Joel Cohen, Ethan Cohen

Starring Jeff Bridgis, John Goodman, Julian Moore

For the passionate believers of Big Revoski, it's not just a movie, but a lifestyle itself. Jeff Bridges, a lazy philosopher, who is also known as the "The Dudde", to judge from the number of fans who will be r e-screened and nationwide Ribowski Fests. There are quite a few layers that are looking at their own models. Why? This is one of the most symbolic roles ever. Bridge is almost in the flow, even if he is mistaken for a bowling colleague and an empty criminal group.

13. The Naked Gun (1988)

I promise you, whoever the bad guy did this, this cop won't relax for a minute until he's behind bars. Let's eat.

Director: David Zucker

Co-stars: Leslie Nielsen, Priscilla Presley, O. J. Simpson

Second only to Airplane! In terms of joke count, The Naked Gun didn't come across a single bad pun, slapstick, or silly rant. This movie made Leslie Nielsen a big star, more than playing the straight man in a "real" disaster movie. But I have to say, he squandered that goodwill almost immediately with movies like Dracula 3: Death and Love and a whole bunch of sequels.

14. Dumb & Dumber (1994)

Hey, wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world? Aaarghhhhhh. '

Director: Peter Farrelly, Bobby Farrelly

Starring: Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels

Imagine the inside of your hyperactive little brother's brain flashing on a TV screen, and you get the movie Dumb and Dumber. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels play a pair of astonishingly stupid and incompetent people who embark on a cross-country trip to retrieve a woman's suitcase. It's not just a sorry flop, it's a joke about butts, toilets, snot, and sex. It's a regressive movie, no doubt, but what it really means is that it just makes you laugh.

15. Some Like It Hot (1959)

"Real diamonds! They should stand on the authority of gold!

Director: Billy Wilder

Starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon

Jerry and Joe, played by Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis, are two entertainers who pose as members of a group who escape Chicago and head to Florida after witnessing the 1929 Valentine's Day Massacre. Joe falls in love with the group's seductive singer Sugar (Marilyn Monroe), and Jerry must contend with the lustful gaze of a posh old man. Billy Wilder has crafted a smashing cross-dressing farce, full of jokes and one-liners.

16. Trading Places (1983)

It's not so cool to be a turkey, like around Thanksgiving."

Director: John Landis

Starring Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis

The lov e-hate relationship with American capitalism is sometimes revealed in an eas y-t o-understand manner. This sadistic is to decide that two cunning businesses will be replaced by the wise homeless Eddie Murphy, the wise homeless Eddie Murphy, one of the best employees, the elite of Harvard University, the elite of Harvard University. 。 The anachroid type, who commits Santa suits on the eve of Christmas, describes the reality of Wall Street (and cruelty) in more than 100 films depicting financial crashes.

17. Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987)

I beg you. Mercy. I've been wearing the same underwear since Tuesday. "

Director: John Hughes

Major performers Steve Martin, John Candy, Lilla Robins, Michael McKin

John Hughes's masterpiece, Trains and Automobils, is not a mere Thanksgiving theme. This is a movie about Thanksgiving. But that's not all. Even if this holiday is not where you live, the theme resonates. Anyone, even if you get over hell, you have someone you want to go home, and if you don't have that person, you'll probably notice that this is lonely beyond the cheerful scenaries of this movie. Of course, Steve Martin and John Candy are also a good comedian team. In a small hotel room or burnt rental car, you can laugh happily, and the finish of a movie that invites tears is sensual.

Matthew, singer writer / editor

18. Dr Strangelove: Or, How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb (1964)

You guys, it is impossible to fight here! This is a military room!

Director: Stanley Cubrick

Appearance: Peter Sellers, George C. Scott, Stirling Hayden

Stanley Cubrick made only one comedy, but does it make sense to make another one as the "Dr.'s unusual affection" has happened? Based on Peter George's novel "Red Alert", this film, which was originally planned as a hard thriller, was inspired by the cold war, dyed with the risk of nuclear weapons abolition. Woke up. There are rarely bold and intense comedies. Even more, there are rare bold and intense comedies. Peter Sellers played all three roles: Lionel Mandrake, the British Air Force, Markin Mafre, and the main character, the former Nazi scientist. If there was a comedy world Rashmore, three heads could be assigned to unimaginable roles.

19. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)

My offspring definitely used acids and fired an arrow to the crowd.

Director: Adam McKay

Cast: Will Ferell, Christina Apple Gate, Paul Rad

Will Ferlel is reborn in a large baby in Zoo and Elf in this movie, reminiscent of the highe r-order polyester era, reborn as a muscular and brave star. A time when a person was judged not by the institution, but a wet, incapable ferocity of the colon, the bright light of the mouthbeard, and the number of books in the leather equipment set in the living space. Anchorman is an ensemble work, and everyone brings each "A-to-Group".

20. Four Lions (2010)

Rubber boat, brother!

Director: Chris Morris

Appearance: Ries Ahmed, Nigel Lindsay, Kaivan Novak

This first work (and the only work so far) by Chris Morris, a cabaret director of the UK television radio station, ridiculed the terrorist attacks in London in 2005, and a British dizoushadist. I cut off the greasy. In this work planned as a slapstick drama and built on a powerful satire base, Morris and his c o-author were about a confirmation and trial record related to the true option of terrorism, "Make Your Self". Most of their own scripts were produced. In recent years, this movie has been regularly mentioned in the news that life is catastrophic and comica l-art parody.

21. Young Frankenstein (1974)

We need to see what to see later, so we are forced to quietly enter the genius kingdom.

Director: Mel Brooks

Starring: Jin Wilder, Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle

The best genre parody using Brooks chalk was a convertible message for a traditional Frankenstein movie in the 1930s. Brooks bring a well-known nonsense substance when a long-standing grandson (co-author Jean Wilder of the script) revives his hometown. To justify that his monster (Peter Boyle) is a civilized existence when performing a duet. This joke is really ridiculous, but if you know the original, it will only increase its significance.

22. Ghostbusters (1984)

Don't run up the stream!

Director Ivan Lightman

Starring: Bill Murray, Dan Eikd

When a nasty spirit invades New York, who do you call? You know the answer. A quartet of self-proclaimed ghost hunters come to the rescue and banish the spirit to oblivion. Much of the appeal of this sci-fi comedy lies in its characters, a bunch of idiots who take center stage, with hilarious results. The undeniable highlight of the film is Bill Murray, a no-nonsense, womanizing scientist, while Rick Moranis brings some playful humor to the role of a fool who lives in Manhattan's most haunted building.

23. Tootsie (1982)

I have a name. Dorothy. Not Tootsie, not Toots, not Cutie, not Doll. Oh no!' No, just Dorothy.'

Director: Sydney Pollack

Starring Dustin Hoffman, Jessica Lange, Bill Murray

Of course, this is Dustin Hoffman's show. But it's Bill Murray who is memorable. He provided most of the film's funniest moments and much of its soul. In retrospect, the concept of a man cross-dressing to get a better job seems vaguely awkward and a very dated approach to feminism. But the acting is still great, the script still shines, and Sydney Pollack's sleek '80s style still captivates. Hold on while I fix my lips.

24. Play It Again, Sam (1972)

My parents didn't get divorced, even though they begged for them.

Director: Herbert Ross

Starring Woody Allen, Diane Keaton, Tony Roberts

In this film adaptation of a 1969 Broadway play, Woody Allen plays a humble, neurotic lover and a Casablanca-obsessed film critic who creates a fictional Humphrey Bogart to dispense harsh wisdom. The fun begins from there, with Diane Keaton as the most charming romantic foil, and the film develops into a witty ending at the airport with some of the funniest lines from classic movies.

25. Bridesmaids (2011)

Director: Paul Feig

Starring: Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O'Dowd, Melissa McCarthy

Blythe Maze is not just a comedy for boys to change sex. Certainly, there are some bad hobbies, but thanks to the freaks & Geeks legends, Paul Faig's stupid, skillful scriptwriter and lively production, it has been a lot of work to make up for it. Even more wonderful is the perfect casting. Kristen Wig, the role of Annie, is relentlessly cheerful (her penis parody is a big highlight), and Rose Barn, the role of Helen, is understood soberly. But in most cases, this movie works well because the relationship between women is real and honest.

26. The Castle (1997)

Did you get it forcibly? You understand that meaning, right? They get it. Forced. "

Director: Rob Sitch

Starring Michael Katon, Ann Tenny, Stephen Curry

This modest fable, which is called the most favorite movie in Australia, depicts the struggle of the common people who have ordered the forced purchase of property, and have the flaws of the characters, common sense, and common sense. While using it comically, I did a rare trick that laughed together. The Kerigan family is not a breaker, but their friendly family bonds make their homes feel like they are inexpensive. It is an irreplaceable charm.

27. Blazing Saddles (1974)

What is a dazzling urban person like you doing in this countryside?

Director: Mel Brooks

Gene Wilder, Clevon Little, Slim Pikens

My movie is not vulgar, "Mel Brooks said in the early days of his career. The brazing saddle prove it. This work, which carries out Hollywood white people in the western part of the United States, is described from the first black sheriff's perspective of a white town. The political and racial tone of the humor may have tears. Richard Pliers c o-worked (starring Gene Wilder), and is still being handed down as a riot of bad hobbies. Brooks said in an interview that John Wayne had a comeo appearance offer. As a result of reading and examining the script, the legendary cowboy declined the opportunity. According to him, the line is "too dirty." Amen.

28. Zoolander (2001)

Have you ever wondered if there was something more than a very beautiful thing in your life?

Director: Ben Stiller

Starring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Will Ferell

Did anyone say "fishing in the barrel"? The fashion world is not the most difficult material for satire, but the Ben Stillers movie depicting international conspiracy, high fashion, and ridiculous claims is an incomprehensible gag, selfless performance, cod. There is. Zanda Stiller is a supermodel on the hill, threatened by a newcomer Owen Wilson, is manipulated by adult designer Will Ferlel, and puts up huge idiot. However, he is also more confident in himself, is wel l-maintained, and is essentially very kind, so his story is even more fun.

Lawrence Fells Lawrence Fines. Forest Lorenston. short. Lars. Lars Lawrence Lawrence Nis Lawrence Tou. His name is James Jessenton. Lawrence fell. Lawrence Jeserton Lawrence Jeserton!

Director: Frank Lake

Appearance: Steve Martin, Michael Kane, Glen Hedry

The character played by Steve Martin and Michael Kane in the remake version of the 1964 movie "Night Fairy Tale" is perfect for the villain. This duet plays a scammer combination that cheats the plight of the rich women of French Ribiera. Thus, the more and more ridiculous duel begins, Lawrence Kane is tied to all buttons and is an enthusiastic Freddie Martin's ideal prop. Their behavior tends to look mean, but by the end of the movie, they make them think they are pretty villains.

What is the best musical ever? "If you sing in the rain"? Too cute. What is history? Too brave. Shall we meet in Louis? " If Judy Garland calls Margaret Oblien stupid, there will be a chance in the movie. Of course, the best model in the movie must be a ritual story of life in Coloradado, a quiet mountain town. There, there is a parking position, fading, art-dog, and a close-up war, Saddam and Satan, and really Lee, the mother of a cartman who appears in the Video of Sase and Germany, and of course, this neat boldwin. These. Oh, chicks.

31. ¡Three Amigos! (1986)

Can I say I had a lot of Pinya?

Director: John Landis

Appearance: Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short

This silly Hollywood comedy, located somewhere between "Seven Samurai" and "The Artist" (only with a rather huge hat), tells the story of how a three-time star-crossed man is sent to Mexico to perform on the commander's birthday, but ends up leading a village revolt. All this is very nonsensical - most of the jokes arise because of the unusual accents, the tumbling of the donkey and Martin Short, but Alfonso Arau in the role of the villain El Guapo, the thunderous concert gives great pleasure, as does the reckless cabbage of Randy Newman in the role of the singing craftsman.

32. Shaun of the Dead (2004)

What is fried gold to you?

Director: Edgar Wright

Starring: Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kate Eshfield

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright have completely escaped the cult TV bliss of Spaces and conquered the Midnight Film Center with this wild, hyper-kinetic Zom R. Top. Amazing, epic gags roll off the page in a flash, but the secret of Sean's enthusiasm is his respect for the original. It's a loving homage to the original, hidden behind sly confessions in the spirit of Romero and gags and blood that don't make it on screen. It's just the right balance of laughs, pure confidence and moving authority. It's actually kind of magical in all of this.

33. A Night at the Opera (1935)

At the beginning, I noticed Ms. Claypool. Of course, her mother noticed her 1, but I'm not interested in picking a civil war here.

Director: Sam Wood

Starring: Grucho Marx, Chico Marx, Harpo Marx

More fun than the similarly bloated Queen albums, this was the anarchic height of Marx's creativity. It contains some of the most unforgettable humorous ways to dissect jazz and high society idiots with runny noses. The plot, in which Grucho must deal with rich losers and help those suffering in his opera company, takes a back seat in the deluge of saturated puns, gags and sharpness. Chico is also over the hill, unable to hold his own tarako Italiano pronunciation, and Harpo's aggressive stabs threaten to kidnap the show. And if you've ever designed how many people you could possibly fit into the cabin of a transatlantic ocean liner in Art Deco style, this movie is for you. Dan Jolin, film journalist, Aristarchus, editor "I basically eat the same food as her" Directed by Rob Reiner Starring: Billy Crystal, Meg Ryan, Carrie Fisher

I love Rob Rainer and the romantic comedy of Nora Efron, a scriptwriter. I like how quickly she will show off Woody Allen's smart and adult speaker, which is familiar to Romcom. Of course, I like the main heroes that perfectly played the unparalleled type of type A and the B type, especially among them, my friends attract my friends, but carry Fisher and Bruno Kirby quickly become a pair of love. I also like playing the opposite role. This work is a very fun comedy as a result of truly realizing a romantic grassland and an unusual and unacceptable method that people do in a group. Since then, almost all romakome will appear for data.

What if there was no comedy "Hiz Woman Friday"? Ben Hect and Charles MacArthur were not even more advanced in the extremes of the first street, which was adapted on Broadway. However, the director, Howard Hoxa, came up with the idea that Hildi's husband would be transformed into a feminine woman by Rosalind Russell's performance, and was the most fueling in the movie theater, but at the same time. The debate over the movie Bruce Brothers does not disappear from the stage. Is it a case in which two Snow White's comedians use the hero of Seoul Music to expose themselves under a terrible light? Or does this movie respect the American magnificent artistic format? Actually both. Fortunately, even if the robbery of Belusha and the Acloid is very boring, there are glossy scenario, collapsed scenarios, and car chase dance, which abstracts you. Cub Callaway, Ray Charles, James Brown ... all of them are wonderful fantasy, but only Franklin's "Respect" jumps to space.

In this lyrical memo dedicated to the mercy of a pure white pad like a vast snow, Woody is also burning his hero Danny Rose at the same time. Danny's creative stage information, cheeky and constant dreamers are like his own miserable one-time fresh release-blind wooden koto players, crane tanks, skating, like Pingoon, Hashida Rabbi. I am worried about it, but it is clear that ERA departed very quickly to anyone who is staying very fast. The similar universe is just ridiculous, but Allen identifies his generous, painful, delicate thread, and inspires a fairly luxurious and interesting dividend.

After the nihilistic noir film Blood Simple, the Coen Brothers did a 180-degree turn and made perhaps their most reckless comedy yet: live-action animation, truly absurd fictional characters, sharp dialogue, and a whole lot of heart. Of course, Raising Arizona is about a couple, the manic Holly Hunter and the uncommonly reserved Nicolas Cage, who kidnap a baby from a rich man and then rescue it from unscrupulous criminals and motorcyclists. After all, this is a Coen Brothers movie. But it's also their sweetest, warmest, most reckless movie ever, highlighted by two deeply relatable main characters and Carter Burwell's powerful yodeling.

Black is surprisingly charming as a crazy, manic, out-of-touch musician called Dewey Finn.
