New Victory Arts Break – Clowning Week

It was a 7-week New Victory Arts Break! Under the management of teachers and artists New Victory Arts Break, this is a training program created for 1 million settled families to link performing arts to the research process. Play or not play - our non-profit organization is eager to bring performing arts to a wide audience and inspire you with the sharing of creativity and memories!

The Big Take

15-20 minutes, 5-10 years old

Clowns are not afraid to really show what they are experiencing and do it with the support of the double, which is one of the most important skills of clowns! The double is the moment when the clown looks at his audience and distributes the emotions he controls, generally in a wonderful (and sometimes silly) way. This week you may hear the double called "cup mask" or "control chicken", but all these definitions mean the same thing: when the clown in you controls a powerful sensation, look at your audience and share it!

Silly Face Freeze Dance

When clowns go to the audience, they usually make a strong impression. Practice your impressions and nonsensical faces with this "Oak" freeze dance!

Step 1: Cut a playlist of nonsensical songs and find someone to dance with! Here's our favorite playlist of nonsensical songs:

Step 2: In the first round, cut whoever is going to plug and unplug the music, and keep rotating so everyone has a chance to dance! Once you've decided who's going to be in charge, make sure you have enough room to move around.

Step 3: When the music starts, dance your most interesting dance. Once the music stops, everyone will be stiff and make the most cool face!

Step 4: In order to further challenge, the facilitator can call for a specific stupid face while the participants are solidified. For example, "If the music stops next time, I want you to be this stupid side.

Becoming a Clown

25 minutes to 35 minutes, 5 to 12 years old

A Simple Clown Routine

The Rule of Three

25-30 minutes, target age 5-13 years old
