Director’s Notes: Marie and Rosetta

My friend George Brandt posted on Facebook that he was producing a play about Sister Rosetta Servo, so I started investigating immediately. I started reading her biography. I stayed up late and heard everything about her. Why didn't I know that Rock was invented by a dark woman who sang gospel in Arkansas? Does the world understand this?

Noel Simone Willer and Amaya Holly

The big challenge in studying the situation of fate is that it is dominated by men. The report is reported that men are driven by women, Snow White pursues black snow princesses, and ultimately, luxurious Shirayukihime pursues something more than an unfortunate Snow White. What we knew as a rock did not exist until Sister Rosetta Serv. She was taken up before Elvis and Johnny Cash. She was ahead of Chuck Berry and Little Richard. The fresh sound of blues, jazz and gospel was more fresh and sharper than any sound before. I still want to thank her who brought an electric guitar to the first project.

The stage is in Mississippi in 1946, with the first rehearsal of the duet. They are one of the first person who owns a personal tour bus, raises the recognition of stadium performances, planned embedded concerts, and promotes sexually transmitted disease tests. They were also incredibly interesting.

Since I grew up in churches, I keep in mind that a little "amen" and "Hum Hum" are indispensable when listening to gospel. You will surely like Sister Rosetta and Marie Knight.

What is the best & worst of the gift you got during the holiday season? I'm really grateful to give me a present. When I was 6 or 7 years old, Santa gave us a new bicycle to us and brother. A big bike! After opening all the gifts, my parents asked me and my brother to collect all the paper and bring it to the garage. When you open the door. There was a shiny new bike! The worst present was a transparent manicure of $ 79 that my brother gave me. I don't remember what I gave, but I used at least $ 2 50 cents for his present. Of course, we were very young, but will transparent nail polish be a business? At least he was able to buy a colored manicure!

What is the most disliked celebration dish? eggnog. I loved it, but I don't eat much now.

What is your favorite way to serve others during the holiday period (not limited)? It may sound stale, but I like the story of Christmas Carroll purely. The meaning is not affected by time, and it can be used today, just like the written day.

You are walking on the street with the best mood. What kind of festival song is flowing on the back? What is the most dissatisfied Christmas song? Whatever the song of Christmas Charlie Brown makes me angry. I listen all year round. Anyone can sing, but the most unpleasant festival song is Father Christmas. Wow!

"If you don't have XX, it's not Christmas." Baby Jisas!

Megan Carmichell

Please tell me the best and worst gifts in the holiday season. To be honest, I can't list the worst gifts! When I was a fifth grade in elementary school when I was learning violin, my father made a wooden handmade music stand was the best gift.

What are the most disliked celebration dishes? The most disliked celebration dish is a fruit cake!

What do you like to serve others during your vacation (and after vacation)? I love children to choose toys and give them to other poor children. I will also participate in Family Day.

What is the most interesting holiday song? "I saw my mother kissing Santa!"

"If there is no XX, it is not Christmas." Family and traditions that have been made together for many years make Christmas for me.

Tom Stevenson

What is the best Christmas present, and what is the most difficult to give? There are so many to choose from. In the context of this practice, it was even said that the best gift was the valtorna. Not - the state scheme is a game of giving a can of tomato soup, exchanging gifts and one of them.

What is the least loved solemn dish? Eggnog. Hands down.

What is your favorite way to work differently on the holidays? Concerts.

You experience yourself perfectly while walking down the street.

What is your most disliked solemn song? Winter Wonderland is my New Year's soundtrack. "Fum, Fum, Fum" is somewhat annoying.

Christmas is not possible without ○○. Candle

David McBin

What is the most and least liked gift you received during the holiday season? The best gift I received is the role of celebrating Christmas with other families. It's a laminated world map.

What is your least favorite solemn food? Basically all beef.

Director’s Notes: HIR

What is your favorite way to work differently during (and after) the holidays? Caroling and being the music boss at the church where I work.

Complete this idea: "Christmas wouldn't be what it was without...". My family of carolers

Charles Evans Jr.

What was the best and least exciting gift you received during the holiday season? I think I can answer both questions! Best: Day 1 - All the family in the holiday home. Non-Male: Denek 6 - All the family in the holiday home.

What is your least favorite solemn dish? Eggs! They taste like liquid gum.

Director’s Notes: Every Brilliant Thing

What is your favorite way to work differently during the holidays? There's a quote by Osvald Patton that sums up our world: "It's chaos, be kind." The holidays - this is a daily reminder of the need to show kindness to everyone I encounter.

Let's complete this idea: "It's not Christmas without ____" New Year's song It was not in vain that this situation was told by countless one people from the stage of its creation. It has a strong premise, and it's quite good for me to give them out every year.

Patrick McBride

What is the best or most enjoyable gift you have received during the holiday season? I can't remember, but the best gift I ever gave someone was a paley (may her soul rest in peace).

What is the solemn dish that you don't like very much? Fruit cake.

What is your favorite way to work differently during the holidays? A concert while listening to "Christmas songs".

Complete this idea: "It's not Christmas without _____." To ask her daughter, good or bad, she acted in the image of Father Christmas.

Watch Carol until December 30

Director’s Notes: Monty Python’s Spamalot

Taylor Mac is the designer who changed my view of the world forever. As well as Elby's The Goat, Shepard's Buried Child and other plays in the genre of wild realism. "Hir" is a triune pronoun that is sometimes applied, pronounced "here" in homes across the country, to convey the double meaning of what is happening here. Mac evaluates the South American family and the classical roles we must play in a world whose standards change daily. Almost all the baggage of precedent we have ever lived with turns out to be nothing more than ideological rules that serve to perpetuate patriarchy. What actually happens when our norms are powerless?

Taylor Mac's interest in "Judy" (yes, this is not an easy thing to do, but that's the point) asks us to throw ourselves a loop and decide whether or not we will be part of this new world, whether or not we will experience a transition. Perhaps it is impossible to build a clearer future without looking back at the past. Mac perfectly understands the audience for Judy. Mac also fundamentally understands what regional theater audiences like: well-worn forms, home stories over the sink.

Joel Castellou, Rob Lutfi, and Deanna Driscoll on camera in "Hir."

This is a play about revolution and how we deal with its consequences. If we explode the patriarchy, how do we care for those left? Where do we put the snow-white naturals? There's no doubt that the world needs more estrogen in leadership, but there probably isn't enough.

Hir is playing at the Cygnet Theatre until October 28th. Buy tickets here.

When you create your own work, you get the best thrills in society and leave the theater with a new perspective on psychological illness. Maybe because these topics are still taboo, you actually get to discuss them.

Rob Lutfi and Lo Boddi in rehearsal.

The variable captured in performance is you. You come to the arena as a person, you go to the arena as a member of society. Some people perform, some people complete lists. Our plan is to have conversations while the lights are on, to greet visitors with hugs and to hold hands with everyone.

Cygnet Theatre Announces a New Look!

Thanks to the playwright, I was able to expand the material of the artists and their lives. In fact, it turned out that we needed to practice "radical inclusion" in improvisation with the visitors. How can I create active options every time? How do you arrange them every time that your loved ones can listen to them with peace of mind? For example, if you want a visitor to read loudly, b must show the model in his own voice. In the process of answering these questions, I picked up how close the play and the tables in the game were mixed. Letters studied as a rehearsal technology are also considered an idea of this play guideline.

How to let others experience yourself? Give a monster. If you are afraid, call you that you are actually suffering from depression. A friend who is kind and kind to a friend. Stop and listen. According to the playwright, "colleagues' actions intuitively affect us."

There are many geniuses around us. We are in this community.

For Uncle Bobby.

Open Your Hearts to the Characters of The Wind and the Breeze

In this summer's signet, Sean Marei plays an important role in the spamarot Monty Pighton as a director.

Pazzi (Jonathan Sangster) and Sir Sean Marei

spam. Rabbit killing. Penguin on the TV screen. A meaningless minister. Spanish version. Remeline with orthodontics and bra.

As most of the young people in the 1970s were so, I and my friends were hooked on Monty Pieton. Their inspiration and unpredictable skit dialogue appeared in the BBC program "Flying Circus" knew. And in 1975, their first movie became "Monty Pieton and the solid holy grail." stop. Elementary stop. I have no time to breathe! King Arthur and his knights walk around Britain to the accompaniment of coconut tree nuts! They encountered mud, plague, gloomy French mocky, and knights not on the stage behind the impressive reckless scene.

In 2005, Paisonian Eric Idra came up with a more reckless idea of making this traditional interesting movie a musical on a broadway. After converting this work into a completely fresh small article, he became interested in Broadway big gigas and was a great success. Mike Nichol s-Director. Casey Nicolo, a tenant in the San Diego district, is a choreographer. Comedian Tim Curry, Hank Azzaria, David Hyde Pilus, Chris Siberia, and Christian Boles played a famous role.

The Tony Award was nominated for 14 categories and won the Best Musical Award. It must have been checked.

So basically don't worry. If not, let's say "Ne" again.

If the proverb is really correct, we want to believe that visitors literally understand what to expect from Cygnet. We cooperated with Milles Ball Agency, which handles brands, to create fresh and lively appearance and manners so that our company will take the right step to grow. He reviewed our organization's missions and value, gathered the reactions of major stakeholders, and made a fresh method through a series of brainstorming. We are satisfied with the new direction and confidence!

Our graphics: The past 15 seasons have caused a huge action on the Signet stage. Now, in the formation of the company, we have renewed branding and graphics to meet the artistic choices we make in this scene in the next period of announcing the 16th season. Bold fear, sophistication, curiosity.

Our logo: Swan is part of our DNA since we climbed the sky. It is also in our title. There is momentum, original, and powerful. Like a signet theater. Know more about our situation and title.

Our slogan: nearby. Walk far away. This is four words, which we love. Nearness is something that visitors who actually come to the signet-show like. The hall has 246 spaces, and all performance is intimate skill. But the job we do here wraps up a huge country. Intuitively, artistic and social. This is remotely work.

For Milles Ball's favorite categories and those who demonstrate leadership, Milles Ball provides Winwin's creative skills that have been more than 30 with unnecessary lon g-standing work with the big brand. While balancing charm and realism, we gave the organization to the organization that we have a higher and maximum opportunity to run higher.

A Little Night Music: Q&A with the Actors

Rob Lutfi: Director

From the Whiteing Award Selection Committee

"Nathan Alan Davis is a true theatrical poet and a pioneer in lyric play. A large story about the past of African Americans is dropped into individual human scales trying to express themselves. Show his extraordinary talent from the majesty to a teenager. It is outstanding.

I love this stage thanks to the performers. I have lived and fought with this stage for six years. Nathan Alan Davis has become one of my important friends, and his play has been fascinating me. Everything I love about Nathan's work is here, probably the most realistic and nuances of his work. Anyone who knows Nathan knows, but he is deeply aware of all of things, so he seems to be signs in his life. I like Nathan's place, and I also like the people who appear in his play. Nathan wrote meditation about changes, acceptance, and dreams. In Nathan's play, all words are important, and all words are important.

In fact, it's really basic in life, for example, those who have set us in a frame. For example, we often pour all of our own energy and concentration in order to pursue a dream, and lose ourselves in the process. We have hope for ourselves and others, and sometimes we try to achieve that dream, even at the expense of almost everyone. Sam must teach stubbornness, stubborn has to release himself, and in his life. And this task is not possible to work on it. It comes when unexpected, usually at the tip of your nose.

Natan asked his visitors for patience. To say patience, seeing a metaphor of a patience game to understand, to give sufficient patience to combine patience to combine patience.

In the play, my family, my friends will notice. In fact, I basically don't know what will happen, for example. But if the play switches on as planned, there will be no first conclusion or first pretense value. People will actually experience themselves as they are. More related to their own past and truth.

Remember? A Little Night Music was first performed in our home in the old metropolis exactly 10 years ago. For example, it's wonderful to have this great musical back on our stage.
