5 reasons clowning is on the rise:

4) Major civilizations tell us what we are, but in reality our creative ambitions are irrelevant, unusual or comprehensively wrong. The clown gives us direct access to our deepest creative “I” and allows us to read who we are.

5) We are looking for meaning but have not found it in most areas of life. Clowns remind us of the beauty of true theatricality, our personal absurdity, and the fact that we are all responsible for creating the world we want to exist in.~Barnaby King

For example, many clowns: Red Skelton, Dick Van Dyke, Brothers Marx, 3 Stugaya, Chaplin, Kiton ... these, often without the baldo nose, were my favorites.
