knitting Sign to Mint, Announces Debut Record with Single "Spirit Gum"
June 4, 2024Today, BREIT MONTREAL announced that it will release its debut LP "A Kind of Heaven" on September 6 in Mint!
The band, which started as a pandemic hig h-burning project, has now become a ful l-fledged montreal indie rock band, nitting. With an elegant and parky guitar ... And, a refrigerator that could become an ear insect (FME), the knitting creates a guitar, and introduces Indie Rocks with lyrics that cause the 90's alternative rock band, such as pave, pixies, and Sonic youth. 。
The knitting, formed two years ago, has already appeared on the same stage as a group such as Nap Eyes, Raving, and Cherry Grasler, and has appeared at the North American festival. The debut album "Knitting" edited by Scott Monty Manglow (PREOCCUPATES, CHARD VANGAALEN) will be released on September 6, 2024.
This album, which was recorded by the Scott Manroval of PREOCCUPATIONS, was written in a few years in which the dumping experienced a transitional period and formed a no n-wa r-time identity, and many of these experiences and early adults. Dedicated to difficult and long pain.
The lid single "Spirit Gum" sang the end of homework and dissected this emotional place with a thoughtful strength. A number of layers, which overlapped, evoked the memories of the wonderful Alto Rocker in the 1990s, and this song gives the songs like hypnosis as Dilly Dally and Mama.
Vivek Shraya and Kimmortal Release New Collaboration, "Quitter Remix"
April 24, 2024Today, Vivec Schleia has announced a remix of the song "Quitter" of the album "Baby, YouSprojecting" released in 2023!
Kimmortal, an artist from Vancouver, participated in the remix, and performed vocals and verse songs, a personal truck on the album.
With the support of this remix, Vivecs has more love for albums and songs.
Quitter is one of the last songs she wrote for the album "Baby, YouSprojecting". She says: "I already knew, basically I wrote an album about divorce. But for the first time in the Aranis Moreset documentary, I found out that I was basically not allowed to get angry in my song. I was absorbed in being honest about what I wrote in, and I didn't realize that I was trying to erase my personal emotions.
He has been a Kimoral fan since he c o-starred many years ago (with a group of too many attachments led by Vivec), and invited Kimoral to the backing vocals in the "Song Baby, You" project, and they were "official collaboration". I wanted to announce.
Vivec says, "I believe that collaboration is a fuel of life. I don't have to have an opportunity for actors to arrange, and two actors have more opportunities to arrange more than all other actors. Not there, this collaboration has proven this before Kimmortal in a new dimension, and I have forgotten a unique version!
Kimotal says. "When I wrote the number" Quitter ", I was thinking about a past date when my energy was not rewarded. The number "Quitter" is like an escape path that the management side returns the method. Except for this, it was quite good to have a chance to sing with Vivec and duet!

Future Star announces forthcoming record It’s About Time! with single “This is the Part that’s Too Hard to Explain”
April 22, 2024"THIS IS too Hard to Explain" is an exciting 1st single from the Future Star Album on the right! It will be released from Mint Records on July 5, 2024.
The Future Star is a Vancouver's bedroom pop star, which has released an unforgettable keyboard music of "sweet, comical and honest lyrics" since 2016. Under the influence of music artists such as Arthur Russell, Magnetic Fields, Kero Kero Bonit, and visual designers such as Linda Barry, Future Star was "full of modest meaning and beauty" (Exclaim!) He has built a fame as an artist who performs live concerts.
The last two albums "WHEN WILL THE THE OF LUV GRANT ME 1 Request" (Kingfisher Bluez, 2021) (Independent production (2021) reports a good situation in which the melancholy and loneliness of Quia turn into dedication and joy.
It is not easy to change the song that sings the ease of childhood into a bap with a purification effect, but the Future Star did it well in "This is the Part that's to Hard to Explore". The song sings about hiding from enlightening things, not seeking support when needed, and forgiveness that can be given to themselves and people around when smoke is fine. It reminds me of actually touching the "small man" in myself and being caring and compassionate.

About records
The demolished house and the Future Star dreaming of a live show in a place that do not exist anymore will explore the old and old space on the upcoming album "Its About Time"! Looking back on seven years of music production, "It's about Time! ] Is basically an instantaneous ability, the ability to accumulate in the memory, and reminds me that something may have changed if I did not see it.
The album, which was in charge of recording and producing old friends, Andromeda Monk, has a minimal composition with piano and voice, and gorgeous arrangements with synthetic strings, flute and drum machines. This song, which takes a natural and pleasant breath like a dead corpse, invites the listener for the fact that everything happens without worrying about anything.
Perhaps this song is reminiscent of a corpse where cells can be replaced over time. It may be similar to that of a tim e-consuming person to understand who you are. There is a possibility that large cities may be livable and you do not need to move to Montreal or suburbs.
Our cells change with each other, the fuse is burning and shorter, the light begins to look very close, and when everything is sharpened, there is a good chance that it will make one of the best decisions in life.

Miesha and the Spanks Announce Canadian Tour Dates, Unconditional Love in Hi-Fi Turns 1!
April 15, 2024Non La announces sophomore album, Like Before, with new single "Hurtful"
January 23, 2024Today, No n-La will release the first single "Hurtful" from the second album "Like Before".
"In this song, I wanted to convey all aspects of the no n-single couple.
But by doing so, I think we have been able to express that whether it's romantic or not, it is possible to feel the sense of all human relationships, that is, something new, exciting, or something approaching. 。 The song starts relaxed, but as the anxiety grows, the tempo rises until the music stops. Everything ends in chaos. "
Owen Ellis has released a video of "Hurtful" after "eight years of music videos suspension". The live performance of stalkers and super fans is on the borderline, bringing an ominous tension. Watch the video on YouTube!
About the album
"Like Before" consists of 12 songs, about lon g-term human relationships, challenges of daily care, and being frozen in something other than the unadjusted configuration shown by the caregiver. Alto pop meditation. Ignoring the universality of these themes, No n-La is formed by encountering a partner in a public bath or whether it is worth talking about this family ("Dark Room"). It is a song about the conflicting emotions of indecision ("Dark Room") and conviction ("Like Before").
Reservations for LP, cassette and digital albums are accepted at Bandcamp and Mint Online Shop.

Faith Healer Announces New Record, The Hand That Fits The Glove, Shares Single "I'm A Dog"
August 8, 2023Faith Healer fans, it's been a long wait. It's been six years since they released a try album.) And now, their next album, The Handle of That Fits the Glove, is set to be released on October 13th on the Mint label!
Faith Healer quietly crystallizes and reconstructs their personal, cheesy pop sound into something even more concrete and exhilarating on their new album, The Handle of That Fits the Glove.
Try it out on their 2017 album ;-)
As duets with Jessica Gelbart and producer/multi-instrumentalist Lenny Wilson begin to free themselves from the 1960s chamber pop influences that underpinned Faith Healer's wounded material, this eight-verse song continues to expand with new directions. It's a colorful assortment of gorgeous, meticulously crafted songs that seem surprisingly ordinary, purposefully covering their own difficulties at every turn under the aura of composed frost.
The evolution that has brought Faith Healer to this point has been taking place since the early days of the plan's inception. Gelbert and Wilson have been working together since Gelbert spoke under his own name in the early 2010s, ran to Faith Healer Monikile on the 2015 album Cosmic Troubles, and their creative partnership was actually strengthened with Try ;-). These albums are built from the ground up in isolated designs, with only members Zalbert and Wilson adding overdubs to create the sound. To the hand that fits the glove, Faith Healer, leading the duet, expanded their staff for the first time, bringing in additional artists and filling the mood with an actual group. The album features artists from across the Canadian indie circuit, including longtime Faith Healer ally Jenny Roberts (who also worked as a touring artist with the Tops and Calvin Love), Mitch Davis (a solo actor with Arbutus), Conor Donalds (and sometime drummer Mac DeMarco), and Ross Nicol. Gelbart and Wilson write differently at times, with differing standards, and finish songs carefully but without being overbearing.
As a result, even though it was blurred with a rough and sensual edge, it flowed without difficulty, making it an album that maintains elasticity and catchyness. In The Game, the waves of synths and modest arrangements that do not feel heavy are constructed without mercy, and while boosting a hook with strong songs, it grows into an unimaginable shine. Smooth psychodelia in the band's early work, such as the pulsed light of I'm a Dog ', the eas y-going rock of' STRANGER ', and the distant groove of' GREEN VELVET '. It is appearing. Very interesting "Another Fool" is one of the examples of more controlling the perfect sound of Face Healers, the smooth atmosphere of Montreal, and the late 90's, such as Saint Etienne and Cardigans. The lounge pop band is not too far away, but also has a sophisticated atmosphere. Jalberle took special attention to the lyrics of these songs and tried to consider the essence of each line. The theme of frustration, meaninglessness, and lethargy disappears, and each time the optimism and the gorgeous music are balanced.
Even the most exciting part of this album has never been excessively played. Through the twists and turns and the performance, "The Hand That Fits The Glove" is consistently and consistently and empathetic, and Gelbert and Wilson guide them with care. This album drops the temperature of the room several times at a stretch, hoping to maintain a special and lively heartbeat for a few minutes, and makes you feel like listening repeatedly.
